Sable Kitchen & Bar: A Classic Gastro-Lounge in River North
At Hotel Palomar Chicago style runs from the first to the 17th floor. Step through the doors across from the Front Desk to open up another chic -- and entirely appetizing - world.
Welcome to Sable Kitchen & Bar, the inviting New American gastro-lounge that Chicago locals love and Food & Wine magazine named one of Chicago's Best New Bars. Here, farm-to-table food and handcrafted cocktails are restored to their rightful thrones, and 1940's glamour bubbles up along the way.
Executive Chef Heather Terhune (you might recognize her from Bravo TV's Top Chef Texas) keeps the open kitchen bustling as she finesses seasonally inspired social plates designed for sharing. Her menu includes fresh fish, meats, brick-oven flatbreads, cheeses, and vegetable selections straight from the garden. Behind the bar, Mixologist Mike Ryan. knows his way around scotch and bourbon, and uses fresh ingredients to create original cocktails inspired by Prohibition-era classics. Nearly 75 wines by the bottle and glass ensure your evening comes to a smooth finish.
You're invited to kick back in this casual neighborhood supper club, where the fireplace is always roaring and you can soak in the downtown scene through huge windows. It's open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Drop in for a drink. Share a plate or two. And fire up your senses for a Chicago dining experience like no other.
